Kandy is located in a valley and in the middle of the center you will find a large lake with a small island in the middle. The city has a number of nice sights. Nuwara Eliya is known as the little England of Sri Lanka. This town was founded by a Briton during the British colonial period in the 19th century. It is often a lot cooler in Nuwara Eliya, making the region perfect for growing tea. The city is therefore surrounded by many beautiful tea plantations and has plenty of nice sights.
